Officers Present:

Cindy Posegate, Treasurer

Brenda Orndorff, Secretary

Coach Bakersky called the meeting to order.

General:

The season has begun with the first JV game on Thursday.  Eligibility remains a concern with numerous players.  He discussed this with the players today.  A study hall is available during practice times to help these players.  Coach Bakersky is excited about the season.  There are a total of 38 players in the program.  They are a great group.

Qdoba Fundraiser:

The Qdoba fundraiser was a huge success with the total proceeds at $4,500.  All coaches' salaries are covered.

Bank Account:

The Indian Baseball Foundation was set up by Treasurer, Cindy Posegate.  This account will be closed soon and monies will be transferred into a special account in which Coach Bakersky will be able to write purchase orders.  It is important that we have our own account for summer.  There are District or special accounts used for non-profits that he is researching and considering.  Budget figures were also reviewed.

Other Fundraising:

We will not be planning on holding a spring golf tournament.  Rather the Fund Raising committee is looking at a Poker Night featuring Texas Hold ‘Em.  There was discussion regarding the logistics and details associated with this type of event.  A local poker service will most likely be retained to facilitate and provide the necessary materials.  Funds raised for this event would be rolled over for summer expenses.  A date still needs to be set.  A Poker Night committee will be established and will finalize the details regarding catering, location, date, etc.  Coach Bakersky will send an email or post the need on the website requesting 5 families from each level to volunteer or be chosen to assist with the fundraising efforts.

Player Awards Banquet:

This year’s awards banquet will be held at a restaurant rather than the LHS cafeteria.  Some of the funds raised at the poker night will go toward the funding of this banquet.

Field Access:

Devin Anderson is currently working with the City of Loveland to get our players on the fields as quickly as possible due to the large amounts of snow still remaining.

Banner and Team Representatives:

We are still in need of an individual to volunteer to take over the management of sponsorship banners.  In addition, we are in need of individual team representatives for each team.   Mr. Saffer has volunteered for the Varsity.

Game Added:

The Varsity has added a game on March 15th.

Agenda:

Email Laurie East if you have any items you would like included on the agenda.
